 Come nella migliore tradizione della commedia classica è arrivato il colpo di scena: Tanaquilla non è Tanaquilla... mi spiego meglio Tanaquilla non è una lei ma un lui, di una cosa ci eravamo gi accorti: è impressionante quanto somigli al piccolo Stromboli che avevamo deciso di tenere dalla cucciolata dell'anno scorso e che è venuto a mancare a maggio dell'anno scorso. Proprio per questa ragione abbiamo deciso di tenerlo con noi, andra a casa con Katia e... il suo nome a questo punto è "Tarquinius Priscus", uno dei primi re di Roma e marito di Tanaquilla, rimane tutto in famiglia insomma.

Ad esserne felicissima è Michela Vittoria Brambrilla, l’onorevole ex ministro che tanto ha lottato per i diritti degli animali.

Per la precisione, nella norma c’è l’autorizzazione a tener in casa tutti gli animali da compagnia, escludendo (esplicitamente) gli animali esotici, tipo serpenti e tigri. La legge deve adesso ripassare al Senato, ma non ci sono rischi di un suo stop.
Amanti degli animali, esultiamo, qualcosa si muove per un’Italia più pet-friendly.

Ritorno a scrivere su questo articolo per commentarlo un po'.
Innanzi tutto questa norma pone fine fianlmente a tantissime liti condominiali basate su presupposti assudri. E' veramente triste constatare come alcuni dei nostri concittadini si comportino con animali, vicini e animali dei vicini... spresso gli animali rappresentano niente più che un pretesto per sfogare la propria frustrazione condominiale o la propria voglia di prevaricare. Di sicuro la norma di oggi non risolverà le liti tra condomini ma quantomento toglierà qualche appiglio a chi ha solo voglia di attacre briga.

Vi lascio con il video di un gruppo che ho scoperto in questi giorni, sono fantastici e ho iniziato ad ascoltarli per puro caso... a causa del loro nome: Pomplamoose, che ricorda il nostro Pompelmone, ascoltateli perche sono davvero bravi e oltre ad alcune fantastiche cover hanno composto anche degli inediti notevoli.

Siamo felicissimi perchè oggi la piccola IT*Quadzilla's Tendo Akane ha fatto un figurone in expo a Goteborg conquistando l'Ex1, BIV e Nomination; concorrere all'estero è sempre difficile e faticoso ma in Scandinavia, patria dei Norvegesi delle Foreste, la competizione è veramente serrata, soprattutto a causa della qualità altissima degli esemplari da allevamento. Siamo doppiamente felici per Elisa, con cui ci sentiamo spesso, e in particolar modo perchè Akane è figlia della nostra IT*Alchimia Salina che è a Rovigo nell'allevamento di Elisa... nonna Hope sta saltando di gioia insieme al fratellino di Akane: IT*Quadzilla's Totoro che è con Katia. Veramente congratulazioni!!!!

Ok la soluzione ve la do io:"Selinunte" o meglio Alchimia Selinunte, per la sua nuova famiglia Noah, sono rimasto sorpreso quando ho visto le foto che gentilmente Rita ci ha mandato, è diventato veramente grandissimo! e quanto assomiglia alla mamma!
Per quanto riguarda l'adattamento di Patata posso dire che dopo pochi giorni è stata già adottata da tutti, questo è dovuto anche al suo carattere socievole e giocoso.

Sono sporavvissuto ad un due giorni massacranti: mercoledì e giovedì ho fatto un salto in Danimarca dai nostri amici Louise e Kim per andare a prendere questo splendore di gattina. Loro sono stati di una gentilezza unica e non smetteremo mai di ringraziarli per averci dato la possibilità di avere Patata con noi. Oggi la piccolina ha già fatto amicizia con Pupis e Pelmo solo la bossettina Alche ancora la evita, anche se non le soffia più. La piccola patata ha un carattere veramente fantastico, è una gran giocherellona ed è davvero tenerissima: durante il viaggio di ritorno dall'aeroporto avevo il trasportino aperto e lei era sdraiata dento a farsi accarezzare.
La verità è che ci ha conquistati tutti subito, è stato davvero colpo di fulmine!

Di Ritorno dalla Sicilia...

Spiaggia di Mondello (Palermo)

Eccoci di ritorno dalle ferie: una settimana passata a Palermo, siamo tornati ieri nel pomeriggio ma non abbiamo avuto la forza di aggiornare il blog. Siamo un po' tristi perchè tornare senza due dei nostri cuccioli è una strana sensazione... ma siamo molto contenti per loro perché hanno trovato di sicuro due bellissime famiglie che li riempiranno (e già li riempono di attenzioni). In questa settimana  ci siamo sentiti con le famiglie di Scirocco ("Willy") e Shiraz praticamente ogni giorno seguendo in tempo reale l'ambientamento dei cuccioli.
Shiraz si è accasato a Favignana, da Leonardo e la sua famiglia e sin dal primo momento la nuova famiglia gli è piaciuta un sacco. Scirocco invece è rimasto a Palermo con Anna e la sua famiglia e lì ha trovato anche un gorsso amico: Simba, un bellissimo pastore scozzese.
In più siamo stati invitati da Patrizia e Maurizio a far visita ad Apollo, orai diventato un bellissimo gigante...

Niente, la foto parla da sola, ora Hope può contare su un aiuto su 24 ore al giorno in casa. Sono davvero carinissime, in questi giorni Pupis si è affaticata molto, tanto che ancora non aveva trovato il tempo di pulirsi per bene la coda, ad ogni miagolio di un cucciolo scattava a consolarlo, Alchemy nonostante le nostre remore ieri ha deciso di adottare tutti (compresa Hope naturalmente) e, senza timore di paragone con tarta Lucia ha iniziato a stare vicina ai cuccioli, a riscaldarli e pulirli, addrittura a consolare Hope quando allatta. Nella foto le vediamo mentre si abbracciano. Nel frattempo la cucciolata Sicily cresce a vista d'occhio un paio (forse anche tre) di loro hanno già aperto gli occhi, sono tenerissimi ma richiedono alle due mamme tantissima attenzione, deve sempre rimanere qualcuno con loro nella tenda altrimenti iniziano a pignucolare e le mamme sono piuttosto gelose dei loro piccoli. Proprio per questo motivo (oltre che per il lavoro) ancora non siamo riusciti a fotografare "bene" tutti; se tutto va bene ci penseremo domani...sempre evitando di stressarle troppo.

Ecco la neo mamma con i suoi cuccioli

E' stata un'attesa snervante ma alla fine ce l'ha fatta... anzi ce l'abbiamo fatta!la nostra Pupis è diventata mamma ed è stata davvero bravissima: verso le 21:00 ha iniziato a d avere i dolori, respirava affannosamente e miagolava, poi verso le 21:30 le si sono rotte le acque e subito dopo ha dato alla luce il primo cucciolo; a distanza di una mezzoretta sono nati il secondo e il terzo a ripetizione. Va detto che a questo punto avevamo il sospetto che ce ne fosse ancora un'altro dat che l'ecografia segnalava 4 cuccioli, ma nell'ultima se ne vedevano solo 3. A distanza di un'ora, verso le 23:00 nascono a ripetizione il quarto... e il quinto dopo un'altra mezzora, infatti a questo punto Hope sembrava più calma e,dopo che esserci assicurati che tutti si attaccavano al seno e si muvevano, io e Sandra iniziamo a prepararci per andare a letto. All'ultimo saluto prima della ninna ci accorgiamo che è uscito un ultimo cucciolo (sono 6 in tutto) che proprio non ci aspettavamo. Una grandissima emozione per me dal momento che è stata la prima volta che assistevo a un parto (al parto di Alchemy io ero fuori a lavoro), e Hope è stata da subito una mamma bravissima sapeva già come fare tutto come una matrona navigata, a pensarci bene ha avuto bisogmo di noi solo all'inizio quando aveva i dolori e voleva essere coccolata. Che dire di più? La cucciolata sarà "Sicily" litter, e poi ci sono i ringraziamenti speciali a Elisa e antonio che ci hanno aiutato e rassicurato telefonicamente e Sylvia e Amanda al computer fino a tardi per sapere come fosse andato il parto... Grazie a tutti!

63 giorni ovvero: inizio a pesare che sia solo grassa...

Il famoso terremoto previsto per il giorno 11 Maggio non si è verificato, nonostante un po' di preoccupazione ce l'abbiamo fatta. Purtroppo però i cuccioletti di Hope si fanno attendere e la nostra grassa addormentata delle foreste norvegesi, gioca, corre, si stanca, mangia... ma di sfornare cuccioli neanche a parlarne. Con oggi siamo a 63 giorni e ieri, informato telefonicamente (da Stefano, che ringrazio dell'aiuto di questi giorni) di una certa inquietudine della Pupattola (Hope),avevo iniziato a crederci. a questo punto è inutile dire che era un falso allarme: scappo via da lavoro, mi fiondo su autobus rincorrendoli alla fermata, faccio l'ultimo tratto con scatto da velocista... e la trovo indaffarata a rincorrere e fare strani versi ad una mosca. Ritornando seri per un attimo va detto che hope in questi ultimi giorni è molto stanca e l'ultima ecografia fatta da Antonio dice che i piccoli sono ben formati e belli grossi, negli ultimi tre giorni ha preso 1,5 Kg solo di cuccioli. Ora si ritorna alla logorante attesa, appena ci sarà qualcosa di nuovo lo pubblicherò!

61 giorni

Oggi siamo a 61 giorni di gravidanza (lo so, lo so... forse avevo sbagliato a fare i calcoli quando ho scritto 56 giorni...) e nostra Hope ancora non ne vuole sapere di partorire, sono due notti che rimango sveglio fino a tardi per paura che possa essere sola durante il parto... sono sfinito! Oltretutto, e a Roma non si fa che parlare di questo, mi è iniziato anche un certo timore per il terremoto, che secondo i ben informati sarebbe dovuto essere tra le 4:30 e le 6:30 del mattino... non c'è stato (e probabilmente non ci sarà) ma a furia di dirlo mi son preoccupato e con mia moglie Sandra abbiamo studiato un piano di evaquazione per noi e i nostri mici, mi sento un po' stupido ma, come diceva una vecchia pubblicità, prevenire è meglio che curare.  Questa mattina Hope ha miagolato cercando un po' di attenzione e sono stato una buona mezzoretta a farle qualche coccola, poi mi ha dato il cambio il buon Pompelmo che appena l'ha sentita miagolare si è subito fiondato. Alche invece sembrerebbe un po' gelosa (anche se non le facciamo mai mancare le nostre attenzioni) se incrocia Hope sul suo cammino cerca di assestarle sempre qualche ceffone... Ora spero che i cuccioletti si facciano sentire quando c'è qualcuno in casa, e a dire il vero in questo periodo ci stiamo impegnado a lasciarli pochissimo tempo soli. Vi farò sapere al prossimo aggornamento... incrocio le dita!
