Questo è un piccolo esperimento, naturalmente ironico su come è iniziata la nostra avventura di allevatori e di come siamo arrivati fino ad oggi , spero sia divertente per voi leggerlo come è stato divertenete per me realizzarlo... ed ecco che vi presento il numero 0 di  ALCHIMIA.

Tenerissimo me!

Stromboli

Pompelmo coccola Selinunte

Rieccoci! il titolo del post è naturalmente dedicato al piccolo Stromboli nella foto, con questo faccino imbronciato (si è appena svegliato!), ma non solo, anche al tenerissimo Pompelmo che ha in pratica adottato la cucciolata di Pupis. Aggiorno il diario di bordo dicendovi che i cuccioli sono sempre più cicciotti e si iniziano a notare alcune caratteristiche tipiche dei norvegesi delle foreste: alcuni hanno già accenni di lynxtuft (i ciuffetti da lince sulle orecchie), una bella bombatura della testa e gli occhi obliqui allineati alle orecchiette. Oggi sono particolarmente stanco anche perche abbiamo sistemato perfettamente il balcone, ma sono davvero molto soddisfatto perchè in questo modo i nostri mici (e noi) potranno usufruire del balcone in tutta tranquillità. Abbiamo già in mente di istituire una "linea Gatta" per contattarci in caso qualcuno fosse interessato ad adottare qualcuno dei nostri cuccioli, prossimamente aggiornerò con tutti i dati e le fotografie con il nostro balcone di massima sicurezza, a presto!

Salina e Syraka

Come promesso ho aggiornato la pagina cucciolate con le foto di ogni cucciolo... lavoro piuttosto faticoso dal momento che siamo tornati a Roma solo alle 17:30. in ogni caso eccoci qui con l'aggiornamento. E' incredibile come sono cresciuti da un giorno all'altro, il più piccolino ha preso circa 20 g in poco più di mezza giornata. Hope e tata Alche si danno da fare anche se ormai sono piuttosto abituate a badare ai piccoli, solo Pompelmo è rimasto fuori dalla stanza dei cuccioli e si vendica grattando sull'armadio e cercando coccole....è tenerissimo e (a parte le dovute precausioni) quando è a contatto coi piccolini li accudisce anche lui.

As promised I have updated the puppies page with photos of each puppy ... working pretty hard since we got back to Rome only to 17:30. in any case, here we are with the upgrade. It 's amazing how they grew from day to day, the youngest took about 20 g in little more than half a day. Hope auks and nanny are busy but are now quite accustomed to looking after the children, only grapefruit has been out of the room and she takes the baby and trying to scratch on the cabinet .... cuddles and is very tender (in part due to the precausioni) when in contact with the little ones looked after them, too.

...Missione Tata?!?

Niente, la foto parla da sola, ora Hope può contare su un aiuto su 24 ore al giorno in casa. Sono davvero carinissime, in questi giorni Pupis si è affaticata molto, tanto che ancora non aveva trovato il tempo di pulirsi per bene la coda, ad ogni miagolio di un cucciolo scattava a consolarlo, Alchemy nonostante le nostre remore ieri ha deciso di adottare tutti (compresa Hope naturalmente) e, senza timore di paragone con tarta Lucia ha iniziato a stare vicina ai cuccioli, a riscaldarli e pulirli, addrittura a consolare Hope quando allatta. Nella foto le vediamo mentre si abbracciano. Nel frattempo la cucciolata Sicily cresce a vista d'occhio un paio (forse anche tre) di loro hanno già aperto gli occhi, sono tenerissimi ma richiedono alle due mamme tantissima attenzione, deve sempre rimanere qualcuno con loro nella tenda altrimenti iniziano a pignucolare e le mamme sono piuttosto gelose dei loro piccoli. Proprio per questo motivo (oltre che per il lavoro) ancora non siamo riusciti a fotografare "bene" tutti; se tutto va bene ci penseremo domani...sempre evitando di stressarle troppo.

Nothing, the picture speaks for itself, now Hope can count on to help 24 hours a day at home. In the picture we see them embracing. Meanwhile, the litter Sicily grows visibly a couple (maybe three) of them have already opened their eyes, they are cute but they require a lot of attention to the two mothers, should always be someone else with them in the tent and start to pignucolare mothers are quite jealous of their children. Precisely for this reason (besides work) we have not managed to photograph "good" all, if all goes well tomorrow ... we'll always avoid stressing too much.

"Sicily litter"

Vi presento ufficialmente la cucciolata "Sicily" nata dalla nostra S*Little L's Hope e lo stallone dell'allevamento Quadzilla's Ch.Uxie Sterling Silver. Una cucciolata che porta il nome di caratteristici luoghi e sensazioni  della fantastica Sicilia. I nomi che abbiamo scelto sono: Stromboli, Scirocco, Syraka, Shiraz, Selinunte e Salina, l'unica femminuccia.
Questi per noi sono giorni piuttosto faticosi ma la cosa che ci rende più contenti è passare un po' di tempo con i cuccioli e la loro (stanca) mamma a fine serata; ci diamo tutti da fare, anche Pompelmo e  Alchemy ci tengono tano e si impegnano a sostenere la neomamma (... diciamo che per la verità più Pompelmo che Alche) e i piccoli crescono davvero a vista d'occhio, Hope per ora è gelosissima quindi stiamo un po' limitando le foto ma ci attrezzeremo per i prossimi giorni, sto lavorando anche ad un piccolo logo per la pagina delle cucciolate anche questo rinviato ai prossimi giorni. Per ora ci godiamo i piccoli... a presto!

These are days for us pretty hard but the thing that makes us happier is to spend some 'time with the puppies and their (tired) mom in late evening and we all give way, even Alchemy and Pompelmo are busy to support the new mother (let's say ... the truth that most Pompelmo than Alche) and small grow very visibly, Hope for now so we're a bit jealous' limiting the photos but we equip the next days I'm also working on a small logo to the page of this litter also returned the next day. For now we enjoy the small ... see you soon!

Ecco la neo mamma con i suoi cuccioli

E' stata un'attesa snervante ma alla fine ce l'ha fatta... anzi ce l'abbiamo fatta!la nostra Pupis è diventata mamma ed è stata davvero bravissima: verso le 21:00 ha iniziato a d avere i dolori, respirava affannosamente e miagolava, poi verso le 21:30 le si sono rotte le acque e subito dopo ha dato alla luce il primo cucciolo; a distanza di una mezzoretta sono nati il secondo e il terzo a ripetizione. Va detto che a questo punto avevamo il sospetto che ce ne fosse ancora un'altro dat che l'ecografia segnalava 4 cuccioli, ma nell'ultima se ne vedevano solo 3. A distanza di un'ora, verso le 23:00 nascono a ripetizione il quarto... e il quinto dopo un'altra mezzora, infatti a questo punto Hope sembrava più calma e,dopo che esserci assicurati che tutti si attaccavano al seno e si muvevano, io e Sandra iniziamo a prepararci per andare a letto. All'ultimo saluto prima della ninna ci accorgiamo che è uscito un ultimo cucciolo (sono 6 in tutto) che proprio non ci aspettavamo. Una grandissima emozione per me dal momento che è stata la prima volta che assistevo a un parto (al parto di Alchemy io ero fuori a lavoro), e Hope è stata da subito una mamma bravissima sapeva già come fare tutto come una matrona navigata, a pensarci bene ha avuto bisogmo di noi solo all'inizio quando aveva i dolori e voleva essere coccolata. Che dire di più? La cucciolata sarà "Sicily" litter, e poi ci sono i ringraziamenti speciali a Elisa e antonio che ci hanno aiutato e rassicurato telefonicamente e Sylvia e Amanda al computer fino a tardi per sapere come fosse andato il parto... Grazie a tutti!

It 'was nerve-wracking wait but finally did it ... Indeed we did! Pupis became our mother and it was really very good: around 21:00 it started to have pain, shortness of breath and meowed, then around 21:30 they broke the water and immediately after she gave birth to the first puppy, a distance of half an hour they were born the second and third repetition. It must be said that at this point we suspect that there was still another reported that ultrasound dat 4 cubs, but the last he saw only three. After an hour, at about 23:00 come to repeat the fourth ... and the fifth after another half an hour, in fact at this point Hope seemed calmer, and after that be sure that everyone at the breast and muvevano, Sandra and I begin to prepare to go to bed. Last salute before the bye, we realize that came out one last puppy (they are 6 in all) that just did not expect. A great thrill for me because it was the first time I saw a birth (the birth of Alchemy I was out at work), and Hope was now a very good mother already knew how to do everything, think of it took us only bisogmo beginning when she was pain and wanted to be petted. What can I say more? The litter will be "Sicily " litter, and then there are the special thanks to Elisa and Antonio who have helped and reassured by telephone and Sylvia and Amanda late for the computer to know how the birth had gone ... 63 giorni ovvero: inizio a pesare che sia solo grassa...

Nuovo aggiornamento... stesse notizie,
Il famoso terremoto previsto per il giorno 11 Maggio non si è verificato, nonostante un po' di preoccupazione ce l'abbiamo fatta. Purtroppo però i cuccioletti di Hope si fanno attendere e la nostra grassa addormentata delle foreste norvegesi, gioca, corre, si stanca, mangia... ma di sfornare cuccioli neanche a parlarne. Con oggi siamo a 63 giorni e ieri, informato telefonicamente (da Stefano, che ringrazio dell'aiuto di questi giorni) di una certa inquietudine della Pupattola (Hope),avevo iniziato a crederci. a questo punto è inutile dire che era un falso allarme: scappo via da lavoro, mi fiondo su autobus rincorrendoli alla fermata, faccio l'ultimo tratto con scatto da velocista... e la trovo indaffarata a rincorrere e fare strani versi ad una mosca. Ritornando seri per un attimo va detto che hope in questi ultimi giorni è molto stanca e l'ultima ecografia fatta da Antonio dice che i piccoli sono ben formati e belli grossi, negli ultimi tre giorni ha preso 1,5 Kg solo di cuccioli. Ora si ritorna alla logorante attesa, appena ci sarà qualcosa di nuovo lo pubblicherò!
